Bad Ass Mom

This picture is not of me but of my 12 year old Daughter Penelope and today I feel like the coolest mom in the entire world.

She has been asking for years for a dirt bike and this week I was given the opportunity to give her that want.

Is it dangerous? Yes

I am worried about her hurting herself? Yes

But is she safe? Yes, she is having this experience with amazing people who know how to dirt bike and take it seriously.

Part of the reason I wanted to be a mom was to have that opportunity to teach my children to love life, to dream, and to work hard to achieve those dreams.

When I first told Penny I got her into the camp she was scared. Her first question was, are there any other girls in the camp? My answer was, does there need to be? Do you want to ride a motorbike? She answered yes. Then here is your chance. She was worried about not knowing anyone, but I encouraged her and made her stay strong. And she doesn’t regret going to camp that first day at all. Now she is asking how we can buy a dirt bike LOL! But she also understands money and the hard work to get that money. Check out her youtube channel “Sports with Penny”

Being a mom of 4 girls I love that I can help them and be there to support them and encourage them to do anything they want to do. As parents we need to remember that those little eyes look up to us and think the world of us and we influence them with every movement we make, with the food we eat, with the exercising we do, with the happiness we have for life.

As I sit here listening to the One on One interview with Mary Wolfe I will take a quote from what she said. It is time to be a “BAD ASS MOM!!” And to be honest I like to think that I am a Bad Ass Mom!!!!
