75kg Bench PR

And today I benched a new PR, 75kg (165lb)… OMG that is so weird to write PR and not PB (personal best) which is swimming lingo. LOL.
Just a few weeks ago I was afraid to bench 65 kg and look at that today, Poof! 75 and I am confident that it is not going to stop there.
Watching the powerlifting nationals last week has boosted my goals and excitement for powerlifting. And from watching the video of my 75kg lift you might be able to tell I’m a little obsessed with technique. Unrack, pause, lower, pause, press, pause, rack.
I loved to lift and have since I was 12 years old. But what I hope my stories and posts show people is that anything is possible if you believe. It is not going to happen instantly and it will take time, but just remember to never give up on your goal. You deserve it and you will deserve it even more with all the effort you put into achieving whatever it may be.
And remember age is just a number. Stay healthy and stay fit….this 45 year old mom of 4 beautiful girls is loving life and lifting.
